By addressing the underlying factors that contribute to violence, such as poverty, trauma, and mental health issues, FFM aims to break the cycle of violence and help individuals build healthier, more productive lives.
Community Violence Initiative
Community Violence Initiative: At the core of CVI's work, we targeted interventions designed to identify and support individuals at high risk of committing violent acts. These interventions may include individual counseling, cognitive-behavioral therapy, anger management programs, and substance abuse treatment.
By addressing the underlying factors that contribute to violence, such as poverty, trauma, and mental health issues, FFM aims to break the cycle of violence and help individuals build healthier, more productive lives.
In addition to targeted interventions, FFM strongly emphasizes community engagement. We recognize that violence is a complex issue that cannot be solved by individuals or organizations alone. We actively collaborate with community partners, including law enforcement agencies, schools, social service organizations, and faith-based groups, to create a comprehensive network of support for individuals at risk of violence.
Through our community engagement efforts, we raise awareness about the root causes of violence and mobilize community members to take action to prevent it. This includes organizing community forums, workshops, and educational programs and advocating for policies and programs that promote social justice and equity.
By combining targeted interventions and community engagement, we seek to create a comprehensive and sustainable approach to combating violence. FFM's unwavering dedication and collaborative efforts make communities safer and more just for all.
